What is Purpose Coach - A discussion

I got my license as Purpose Coach from Edify Labs on 18th Feb 2022. Here I am discussing what it really is with Ravindra Srinivasa of SRAA Media.


About me:
I was raised in Mumbai, shifted to Banglore post-marriage, and got a house in Chengalpet near Chennai last year. I have been a software developer for 9 yrs and am now a newly licensed purpose coach.  


Why did I become a coach?
During the lockdown, I went into a negative spiral and approached a few coaches to get into the right mindset and it is how I manifested my current house. I loved reading books. and. I have read books like the secret, power of the subconscious mind, etc. However, when interacting with my coach I quickly realized there is a wide gap between the way I learned from the book and how I implement when guided by a coach, After settling in my new house I started feeling a sense of void and took a break from my coach and through the interactions with my friends where I helped them my newly acquired tricks, I was able to help them do better. I realized this is what I want to do on a large scale. 


What is purpose coaching?
Coaching on basis of who you are - your passions, interests, natural potential, and core values. 


To whom is it applicable?
Everyone. Students to adults. Not just people who are dissatisfied with their careers. Knowing who you are will help incorporate small changes in your life so that you can continue doing what you do in a better way, on a bigger scale. 


How do you determine these values?
We use assessments and methods for to get to these values.


How long does it take for you to determine these values?
My current program called Discover my Core is for 6weeks with weekly 60-90 minute sessions. This will help us get your blueprint. After this, you would get a method to handle issues going forward but if you want more guidance, we can continue the coaching as per your needs.


Can these core values be changed?
Yes. In a few years as you grow, your life directions, and priorities also change and there could be minor changes in your core values. 


Pre-requisite qualification for someone to become a coach
A passion to help others and guiding them towards a better life.


How long does it take to become a coach.
I had a 9-week training from Nitesh Gawade the founder of Edify Labs.

  Life may not be without pain.  But life can be without suffering.  Suffering is when you relive the pain long after the event occurred.  It will not be easy to let go of suffering that has become part of your identity.  Be careful of what you choose to repeat in your thoughts.  Suffering is always optional.
