Loyal Mutt or Scary Dog? It Depends Who You Ask

A scruffy dog wagged its tail excitedly, seeing a familiar face on the street. Years had passed, so the man was surprised the dog still remembered him. He chuckled, "Loyal mutt," while giving it a pat.

Later, on the same street, chaos erupted. Two figures snatched a purse and ran, leaving a girl crying. The watching dog sprang into action, barking fiercely and chasing after the thieves. One of them stumbled, dropping the purse, and cursed at the dog, "Good-for-nothing dog!"

When the dog triumphantly returned the purse to the girl, she exclaimed, "Wow! You're so cute!"

Nearby, a group of children witnessing the scene cheered "He's a hero!".

Evening brought a young boy clinging tightly to his mother's hand. Spotting the dog across the street, he froze, his eyes widening. A whimper escaped his lips, "Scary dog, Mommy!"

Different shouts echoed through the day - loyal, good-for-nothing, cute, hero, scary. These were just words, colored by each person's experience.

Similarly your true worth doesn't depend on people's ever-changing opinion. Their comments are simply reflections of how they see the world, not reflections of who you truly are.
